What are excuses really?
Excuses come so easily when there is something that you are not comfortable with doing, something that takes you out of your comfort zones, makes you feel on edge or nervous.
Excuses therefore come from fears and insecurities. They are coming from a place that doesn't really believe in you and what you are capable of.
They tell you that you can't do something, you're not good enough to do it or get it. You are not strong enough or determined enough. The dialogue will go on and on and on until finally you use excuses as a way to follow along with all the chat fear has just feed you.
By following along with the voice of fear and using excuses, you are inadvertently making yourself stagnant because only things you don't know already can bring change to you and your life.
If you are looking for your life to change then you will need to change and the first call of change is to not use excuses anymore. To stop finding reasons not to do something and to start embracing the idea of change as change is inevitable in everything whether we like it or not.
The thing about change though is if you are creating the changes in your life in a positive way then the changes will always feel like they are an advantage to you.
If you are not wanting change to happen and things are changing it causes apprehension, anxiety or panic all stemming from fear.
Fear will take you nowhere that you are wanting to be, excuses will take you to nowhere you would like to be.
Know who you are, know what you want, know you are strong enough, brave enough, confident enough and know that you have everything you need within you and around you.
Trust in who you are and what you have to offer and although the fears may make noise, the noise will no longer be your focus.
Instead your focus is all the reasons why you go after the things that make your life feel right rather than running from those same things scared of failure.
Happy embracing change!
